People came from all over the World. The weather was a bit wet, the fancy dress was outstanding, the bar was excellent, and we've now cleared it all up! |
350 people from all over the world came to the Reform Clubs sports ground to welcome Philleas and Passeportou back from their travels.
Although the fancy dress was outstanding by everyone, the team prize was taken by Kings and Alleynes, who not only represented the range of japanese life, but also stayed in character thoughout the evening, with Ninjas appearing everywhere. Superb effort from everyone on fancy dress, however if Brentwoods Mexican rave had turned up on Saturday rather than sunday, they would have won it, as we do like a bad pun The individual fancy dress was very easy to judge, with The Ryan Air jet from Surbiton being the outstanding effort of the whole evening, complete with wings, flashing lights, and nose cone. The final of the hockey was a very good game, watched by a large crowd, with the Untouchables ( Tibet) sneaking a 2-1 win over West Wilts (Scotland) However the prize for most sociable team, was split three ways between the three teams, from South Cheshire, Phoenix and Ranelegh, and Cheam, whoc have been with us for three years, adn who thoroughly deserved it. All the winners, got an inscribed glass drinking boot, and lots of snakebite to put in it. |
